Hariprasad Lekhani font -- for notation writing in Hindustani classical Bhatkhande style.

Hi,

Its long time since I posted... Recently we finished our flute program "Gurupournima Utsav " in honour of our beloved Guruji Surmani Shri Vivek Sonar. Lots of preparations went in. I did my possible bits towards the program. Everyone performed awesome and Guruji liked it.
Here I would like to gift to my Guruji my small effort towards making a font only to write notations. This is almost like a beta version but as my colleagues confirmed it does its job fantastically. So I thought I would share it. Some how I felt that naming the font with the name of Guruji's , Guruji,  Padmavibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia would make him happy. So I named it "Hariprasad Lekhani ".

Its created using http://www.myscriptfont.com . Thanks to them to make it easy for us.(I do not intend to breach anybody's copyrights). Thanks to my friend Dr. Himanshu Ginde for testing this and suggesting corrections.

The punctuation mark keys function as normal. Few keys are left empty and I will try to put some useful stuff in it, in the next version. For now here is the keyboard layout to use this.

Link to download font "Hariprasad Lekhani " : (Click the below link and download will start.)

Here is what the font looks like.

Your comments and suggestions are source of my improvement areas. Please do comment and suggest.

Enjoy

    1. Hi Ruchi,
This version of the font is just to convert your handwritten things to a readable soft copy. Writing with taal system will be in future version of the font . For now I would suggest use of some table to create the taal system and then fill in the swaras...
      Thanks for using.
      enjoy

    2. If some more symbols are added then it will be useful for the musicians to write notations. like (-) dash should be some more bigger in size, small brackets upwards facing and downwards facing both of different sizes. Thanks for helping the musicians and Indian classical music.
